How Jobiko's Scoring Works
Jobiko analyzes both your resume and the job posting, then calculates a match score based on multiple factors: keyword overlap, experience level alignment, industry relevance, and certification matches. The score is expressed as a percentage.
What Keyword Overlap Means
Keyword overlap measures how many of the job posting's key terms appear in your resume. This includes exact matches, semantic matches, and contextual matches. Both presence and placement matter.
How to Improve Your Score
Review the keywords Jobiko highlights as missing. Add genuinely relevant ones to your skills section and work them into bullet points naturally. Focus on the top 5-8 missing keywords you can honestly claim.
When to Apply vs. Skip
As a general guide: 75%+ match is a strong fit. Apply with confidence. 55-74% match is a moderate fit. Apply if you can address gaps. Below 55% is a weak fit. Consider whether the missing skills are learnable quickly. However, if you have a referral or insider connection, apply regardless of score.
