Interview Preparation Guide

Behavioral, technical, culture fit: a playbook for every format you'll face.

Prepare STAR Stories

Prepare 8-10 STAR stories from your career that cover: leadership, conflict resolution, failure/learning, teamwork, initiative, and technical problem-solving. Each story should be 90 seconds when spoken aloud.

Common Behavioral Questions

Prepare specific answers for: "Tell me about a time you disagreed with a colleague," "Describe a project that failed," "How do you prioritize competing deadlines." For each, have a clear situation, your specific action, and a measurable result.

Technical Preparation

For technical roles: review fundamentals, practice on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank, and prepare to talk through your thought process aloud. For non-coding interviews, prepare 2-3 projects you can discuss in depth.

Questions to Ask

Always prepare 5-7 thoughtful questions. Strong options: "What does success look like in this role at 90 days?" "What's the biggest challenge the team is facing right now?" Never say "I have no questions."

Follow-Up Etiquette

Send a personalized thank-you email within 24 hours to each interviewer. Reference a specific topic from your conversation. Keep it concise: 3-4 sentences maximum.
